Definitely a non-traditional pose for him, I'll be interested to see the finished version! (And...is it weird that I kinda like the glimpse of your handwriting that's up in the corner there?  I don't mean that in a creeper kind of way, I swear!  And I think the perspective is fine the way it is, I don't think any cropping is really needed here.)
